Sunny Florida [most of the time]

It was a beautiful day in Florida today. I caught [captured] a picture of both the convention center from my room window and also a picture of the hotel from the convention center. All is well.

The event I'm attending had a conference get together at Universal City. Didn't see Universal Studios Theme Park but heard lots of loud music [too loud for me] and plenty of food. I'm glad to be back at the hotel. It was too much for me.

Sleepover

February 15th was R&J's anniversary, so the kids came to our house for a sleepover.  Lulu the dog took a nap in her doghouse while we fixed Galaxy grilled cheese and light sabres for dinner.  A worked hard cooking up a surprise birthday party.  The food was delicioso.

J&S blended up some delightfully delicious delectable darn good milkshakes.  For dessert we made flying saucers with some strange looking aliens that flew them right into the mouths of J, S, & A.  Nana and Papa had a few mouthfuls too.  We had fun making ducks & dinosaurs out of pipe cleaners - c m bd ii, they were tricky little bounders to glue on.  Jacob used his own creative juices and created a magical necklace.

We put on our PJ's and then rounded up a bunch of stuff from around the house, put it in a sack then each drawing out a different item we made up a crazy adventure of Jumpin J, Super S and Amazing A.  You should have seen S eyes when he pulled out a bottle of salsa.  It was a wild story.  We all jumped in bed and covered up our head z-z-z-z.  Whipped up some waffles for breakfast.  Nana, Papa and the kids had a great time celebrating R&J's anniversary.

Nana's birthday party in the snow

Since Feb 6 was such an important day we thought we had better celebrate by holding the 2nd Annual Winter Birthday Extravaganza. It was a perfect winter night. No wind (amazing), clear skies with lots of stars, and c-c-cold! The menu for this grand event consisted of hot dogs roasted over the fire, chili, mac and cheese , hot chocolate, smores, and a lovely birthday cake built out of donuts which we are sorry to say we did not get a picture of due to immediate snarffing after the candles were blown out. Activities consisted of making snow angels, sled races, and putting on A's gloves at least 55 times during the evening. We had a great time. Happy birthday Big Nana O , 56 years young!.

Party on...

While the cats are away in Paris, the mice will play at Nana's and Papa's

Some of Nana's and the kids creative juices were displayed as we prepared a homecoming surprise for R&J, complete with a replica of the Eiffle tower made from popsicle sticks. We dined on Star Wars cuisine each night as chosen from the Star Wars cookbook by the kids. We had Yoda soda and Galaxy grilled cheese, Tie-Fighter ties, Jaba jigglers, Jawa Jive milkshakes and Wookie Cookies. It was a galactic gourmet delight. Even Zoe slept over. We had lots of fun.

Better late than never2!

Thought we would post a few of our "most excellent" pictures to update you from New Years to now.
