What a difference a day makes

On the 16th, this is what we woke up to. Looks like December, right?

Well, this is what it looked like the next day.

Gotta love spring in Utah.

Easter Picnic - Cancelled? NEVER!

Due to rain, the annual Easter picnic was held at our house instead of out by the lake. In spite of the drizzling rain, the hunt goes on.

The official red flag signals the start of the hunt, and they're off!

Coloring the eggs.

Thats not an egg, thats my nose!

No rain, sleet, hail or snow shall cancel the annual Easter picnic. Once again we all had a great time!

Nifty Fifty United States

Went to Jacob's fifth grade program about the nifty fifty United States. It was great!

Gotcha

Okay, it'd been a long day at work. Mom and I had just found out about Jacob being in his school program and made plans to attend. Mom called me at work and explained, in a panic, that she had heard some noise like water dripping when she was down stairs and had found the furnace room full of water. She said she couldn't see where the water was coming from but had managed to keep it from going into the carpet with some towels. I could hear water being rung out into a bucket while we were on the phone. She asked if I could come home quickly to help get it cleaned up to keep it under control and find where it was coming from and hopefully get to the program.

I shut things down at work quickly and hit the road. Did about 75 to 80 mph all the way home. Pulled in the garage, got out of the car and raced downstairs to the furnace room. And found the towels in the doorway and a sign that said April Fools. I bought it hook, line and sinker and had a great laugh.

Even thought the pictures above aren't a bunch to look at, I thought I would share them anyway. You might find the budget of lobster and crab interesting. They were from The Crazy Lobster restaurant on the Riverwalk in New Orleans. Also thought I would share some of the flowers that are in bloom. The others show the hotel and the streets from the convention center to the hotel.

Singing Valentine

Hope you had a love-ly valentines day. We started the day out by finishing a book (Physik) we have been reading together for about the past two years. That shows how often we read together. Anywho, we finished the book, ran some errands, went to the Draper Temple open house,(its beautiful), and then we went out dancing and danced the night away. Lets see, the correct answers to the above true or false statements would be true, true, true, extremely false!

For your valentine entertainment we have prepared a short video, rated VS for very scary. To fully appreciate this video you must be lying on your side. Remember, we really do love you, but hey, sometimes love is painful. If you try to contact me for autographs Ill probably be out of town. Im going to go audition for American Idol. Happy Valentines Day!
